Sun Add Two Posts To Training Camp

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (April 23, 2018) — The Connecticut Sun announced today that Nikki Greene and Khadijiah Cave have been signed to training camp contracts.

Greene, who was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury in the third round of the 2013 WNBA Draft, played in 12 games for the Sun in 2015, averaging 1.2 points and 2.0 rebounds. She spent the 2017-18 season overseas in Israel with Bnot Hertzeliya, where she averaged 9.9 points and 10.2 rebounds.

Cave graduated from Baylor in 2017 and spent time in training camp with the Los Angeles Sparks last year. This past winter, she averaged 26 points and 21.6 rebounds per game for Esperance Sportive Pully. Both totals led the league, and her 1.7 blocks per game was the second-highest total.

The Connecticut Sun will tip off its 16th season in the state by leading off #WNBAAllDay on Sunday, May 20 at 1 p.m. A 21-win playoff team in 2017, the Sun will look to start fast, taking on the Las Vegas Aces (formerly the San Antonio Stars) as the first game on a day in which all 12 WNBA teams will be in action for the very first time.
