Sun Travel to Storm on Friday Night

Seattle, WA: The Connecticut Sun (2-13) continue their west coast road trip taking on the Seattle Storm (9-6) on Friday, June 27 at 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT at Climate Pledge Arena. The game will air nationally on ION. It will also be available to stream on WNBA League Pass.

Last time out on Wednesday night, the Sun fell to the Las Vegas Aces on the road, 85-59. Tina Charles led the Sun with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in the game. She finished 7/17 from the floor and 4/4 from the free-throw line. The outing marks the eighth time the 14-year league veteran has led Connecticut in scoring this season. Olivia Nelson-Ododa notched 12 points, five rebounds and one block in the game, while rookie guard Saniya Rivers rounded out the Sun’s double-digit scorers with 10 points, two rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks on the night.

The Connecticut Sun fell to the Seattle Storm, 79-59, in their first preseason game of the 2025 season on May 4 in Seattle. Nine players made their first appearances in a Sun uniform, including five rookies logging their first WNBA minutes. Veteran forward Tina Charles led the way in scoring for the Sun in her first game in a Connecticut uniform since the 2013 season. She finished with 13 points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 20 minutes of action. Haley Peters added 11 points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals in 25 minutes of play. She also accounted for three of the Sun’s five three-point field goals in the game, going 3/3 from beyond the arc.

The Sun are 31-23 all-time against the Storm during the regular season, including a 11-15 regular season record when playing on the road in Seattle. Connecticut will look to pick up their first win in Climate Pledge Arena on the road since August 8, 2023.

The Storm enter Friday’s game coming off an 94-86 loss against the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night. Skylar Diggins led the way with 22 points and six assists, while veteran guard Erica Wheeler chipped in 20 points, going 5/10 from beyond the three-point arc. Head Coach Noelle Quinn enters her fifth season at the helm of the Storm, posting a regular season record of 83-74.
