Sun Face Storm for Rematch Friday Night
Seattle, WA: The Connecticut Sun (3-16) are back on the road taking on the Seattle Storm (12-8) on Friday, July 13 at 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT at Climate Pledge Arena. The game will air nationally on ION and will also be available to stream on WNBA League Pass.
The Connecticut Sun defeated the Seattle Storm, 93-83, at home on the team’s annual Camp Day on July 9. The Sun trailed by 14 points in the opening quarter, but outscored the Storm, 75-56, through the final three quarters of play to seal the win. Tina Charles led the Sun in the outing her second double-double of the season. She finished with a season-high 29 points and a season-high 11 rebounds, along with one block on the day. Jacy Sheldon added a season-high 16 points, along with two rebounds and four assists, while Bria Harley notched 15 points, all in the first half of action, also tallying three rebounds, five assists and one steal in 23 minutes played.
The Sun are 32-24 all-time against the Storm during the regular season, including an 11-16 regular season record when playing on the road in Seattle. Connecticut will look for its first win in Climate Pledge Arena since August 8, 2023.
The Storm are led by WNBA veterans and 2025 WNBA All-Stars Skylar Diggins, Gabby Williams and Nneka Ogwumike. On Thursday July 10, Seattle also added former Sun guard Tiffany Mitchell to their roster. Mitchell played in 24 regular season games for the Sun in 2024 and most recently started the 2025 season with the Las Vegas Aces prior to being waived by the team in June. Head Coach Noelle Quinn enters her fifth season at the helm of the Storm, posting a regular season record of 86-76.
