Sun Take on Storm on 2025 Camp Day

Uncasville, CT: The Connecticut Sun (2-16) are back in action on Wednesday, July 9 when they host the Seattle Storm (12-7) at 11:00 AM ET for their annual Camp Day game at Mohegan Sun Arena. The game will air locally on NBC Sports Boston with Brendan Glasheen, Edona Thaqi and Terrika Foster-Brasby on the call. It will also be available to stream on WNBA League Pass.

Last time out on Sunday afternoon, the Sun fell to the Las Vegas Aces, 86-68, at home in Uncasville. Rookie forward Aneesah Morrow led the Sun in scoring for the third-straight game, notching 12 points, three rebounds, two steals and one block in 22 minutes played. The outing marks Morrow’s sixth 10+ point performance this season, as she’s finished in double digit scoring in six of her last seven games. Rookie guard Leila Lacan made her WNBA debut in the game, finishing with five points and one assist in 24 minutes played. Lacan missed the Sun’s first 17 games this regular season due to overseas obligations with the French National Team.

The Connecticut Sun fell to the Seattle Storm in their first regular season meeting of 2025, 97-81, on June 27 the road in Seattle. Aneesah Morrow led the way for the Sun in the effort, notching her first WNBA double-double with a career-high 20 points and 11 rebounds in 27 minutes. Bria Hartley finished with a season-high 19 points, along with four rebounds and a season-high tying six assists. She led the Sun in 3PM, going 3/6 from beyond the arc in the contest. Jacy Sheldon added a season-high tying 15 points, four rebounds and one assist, while Olivia Nelson-Ododa chipped in 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, a career-high tying three steals and two blocks in the game.

The Sun are 31-24 all-time against the Storm during the regular season, including a 20-8 regular season record when playing at home in Uncasville.

The Storm enter Wednesday’s game coming off a 79-70 win over the New York Liberty on Sunday afternoon. Newly named 2025 WNBA All-Star reserve Gabby Williams led the way for Seattle with 16 points, while veteran forward Nneka Ogwumike added 15 points and seven rebounds. Head Coach Noelle Quinn enters her fifth season at the helm of the Storm, posting a regular season record of 86-75.
