Sun Travel to Atlanta for Final Road Game of 2025

Atlanta, GA: The Connecticut Sun (11-31) hit the road for the final time this season to take on the Atlanta Dream (28-14) on Monday, September 8 at 7:30 PM ET at Gateway Center Arena. The game will air locally on NBC Sports Boston with Brendan Glasheen and Edona Thaqi on the call. It will also be available to stream on WNBA League Pass.

In their last game on Saturday afternoon, the Sun defeated the Phoenix Mercury in a close game at home, 87-84. Marina Mabrey led Connecticut in scoring with 23 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 37 minutes of action. It marks her eighth 20+ point performance of the 2025 season and 12th time this year she had led the team in scoring output. Tina Charles added a double-double in the win, notching 22 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 34 minutes played. Charles has notched seven double-doubles this season and has finished with 20+ points on 15 occasions. She is now just 18 points from tying DeWanna Bonner (697) for most points in a single season in franchise history.

Last time out against the Atlanta Dream on September 1, the Sun fell 93-76 at home in Uncasville. Tina Charles led Connecticut with 22 points, eight rebounds and one assist. Charles finished 10/20 from the floor and 2/2 from the free-throw line. It marked the 19th time the veteran forward had led the Sun in scoring this season and her 14th 20+ point performance of the year. Rookie guard Leila Lacan added 17 points, three rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in the effort. The Sun enter Monday’s game with a 34-32 all-time regular season record against the Dream, including a 12-20 record on the road.

The Dream enter Monday’s contest coming off back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday and Friday. In their 104-85 win on Friday, Dream guard Rhyne Howard led the team with 37 points, five rebounds, six assists and one steal. She tied her career-high with nine three-point field goals in the win, which is also good for the most three-pointers made in a single game in Atlanta Dream history.
