GAME PREVIEW: Sun Host Dream in a Friday Night Matchup

Uncasville, CT: The Connecticut Sun (14-3) returns home to host the Atlanta Dream (6-9) on Friday, June 28 at 7:30 PM ET. The Sun are 1-0 against the Dream in 2024, winning 69-50 on June 2 in Atlanta. The game will air on ION and stream live on WNBA League Pass.

Last time out on Thursday night, the Connecticut Sun defeated the Washington Mystics, 94-91, in overtime. The Sun trailed by as many as 16 points in the game and climbed all the way back to bring home the victory. DeWanna Bonner led the Sun with a season-high 24 points, along with 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks. Ty Harris notched a career-high 23 points, while DiJonai Carrington added a season-high 22 points, scoring 12 points in the second half and 10 points of the Sun’s 12 overtime points.

As of games through June 27, Sun forward Alyssa Thomas is first in assists per game (7.6) and fifth in rebounds per game (9.5) across the league. She has also posted seven double-doubles in 2024, good for fifth best in the WNBA. Brionna Jones is third in FG% in the WNBA, shooting 55.3% from the floor.
