GAME PREVIEW: Connecticut Sun Back on the Road Saturday Night Against Chicago Sky

Chicago, IL– The Connecticut Sun (4-0) head to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Sky (2-1) on Saturday, May 25 at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT at Wintrust Arena. The game will air on NECN, as well as CBS Sports Network and can also be streamed on WNBA League Pass.

Last time out on Thursday night, the Sun escaped the Lynx in overtime, 83-82, at Mohegan Sun Arena. DeWanna Bonner led Connecticut with her fourth-straight 20+ point performance, tallying a team-high 20 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals. Brionna Jones added a season-high 19 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in a season-high 27 minutes of action.

Through May 23, Sun forward Alyssa Thomas is fifth in rebounds per game (10.5) and second in assists per game (8.3) across the league. DeWanna Bonner is currently third in the league standings in steals per game (2.8).

Connecticut is 33-32 all-time versus Chicago during the regular season, with a 16-18 record on the road. The Sun won the 2023 regular season series, 3-1, dropping the final regular season tilt, 102-91, in overtime on September 10, 2023.

Chicago enters Saturday night’s showdown coming off of a 90-81 victory over the New York Liberty on Thursday night. The Sky were led in the effort by Marina Mabrey who notched 21 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Head Coach Teresa Witherspoon is in her first season with Chicago.
