Uncasville, CT — Marina Mabrey wrapped up a strong 2025 campaign with the Connecticut Sun, continuing to prove herself as one of the team’s most consistent and impactful contributors. Despite missing nine games due to a left knee injury, Mabrey led the Sun in multiple statistical categories and reached several career milestones.

Mabrey averaged 14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and a team-high 4.0 assists per game, while also leading the team in minutes played (31.5) and three-pointers made (1.9). Her leadership on the court was evident as she led or co-led the Sun in scoring 12 times, assists 14 times, and three-point shooting 16 times.

She reached several career benchmarks this season, including her 800th rebound on September 3 against Chicago, her 700th assist and 1,000th career field goal on August 23 against Chicago, and her 200th career steal on September 6 against Phoenix.

Mabrey’s season was highlighted by a 34-point performance against Atlanta on June 6, marking her fourth career game with 30 or more points and her first since 2023. She scored 20 or more points in nine games and reached double figures in 23 contests.

She also recorded two double-doubles this season, including a 12-point, 10-rebound effort on May 25 against Atlanta and an 18-point, 10-rebound performance on August 1 against New York. Mabrey dished out a season-high eight assists on three occasions: June 8 against Washington, August 1 against New York, and August 23 against Chicago.

By season’s end, Mabrey ranked 14th all-time in three-pointers made (108) and 20th in assists (195) in Connecticut Sun franchise history.

Her resilience, leadership, and consistent production were instrumental to the Sun’s success throughout the season, and she remains a cornerstone of the team’s backcourt heading into 2026.
