2025 Player Season Recaps: Lindsay Allen Joins the Sun in 2025
Uncasville, CT- In her eighth WNBA season, Lindsay Allen brought steady veteran leadership and poise to the Connecticut Sun, contributing both on and off the court. Acquired in a February 4, 2025 trade from the Chicago Sky, Allen quickly became a reliable presence in the Sun’s rotation.
Allen appeared in 31 games, starting nine, including the first three contests of the season and a late-season stretch beginning August 30 after Bria Hartley’s season-ending knee injury. Despite battling a left hamstring and Achilles injury that sidelined her for six games from May 25 through June 8, Allen remained a consistent contributor.
She averaged 2.4 points, 1.0 rebound, 2.0 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game, showcasing her ability to facilitate the offense and maintain control in key moments. In the Sun’s season opener on May 18 against the Washington Mystics, Allen dished out her 600th career assist, becoming the 91st player in WNBA history to reach that milestone. She also celebrated her 200th career game on July 24 against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Allen capped her season with a season-high eight points against her former team, the Chicago Sky, on September 30. Her experience and leadership were invaluable to the Sun, especially during lineup transitions and injury challenges.
As she continues to build on a solid career that began with her selection as the 14th overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft, Allen remains a respected figure in the league and a steadying force on both ends of the floor for the Sun.
