Uncasville, CT- Olivia Nelson-Ododa delivered a breakout campaign in 2025, setting career highs across the board and emerging as a key contributor for the Connecticut Sun. In her fourth WNBA season, Nelson-Ododa averaged 8.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.7 steals, and a team-leading 1.2 blocks per game, while shooting a team-best 52.6% from the field. She also logged a career-high 21.4 minutes per game, reflecting her growing role and impact on both ends of the court.

Nelson-Ododa appeared in 37 regular season games, starting a career-high 21 times. She opened the season strong, scoring a season-high 18 points against the Washington Mystics on May 18. Her dominance on the glass was evident with a career-best 14 rebounds versus the Phoenix Mercury on June 18, and she showcased her rim protection with a career-high five blocks against the Golden State Valkyries on June 22.

Nelson-Ododa also expanded her offensive game, scoring 10+ points in 14 games, the most in a single season in her career, and grabbing 8+ rebounds in eight contests. On August 11, she hit her first career three-pointer against the Valkyries.

One of her most dominant performances came on August 1, when she finished with a career-best +30 plus-minus in a statement win over the New York Liberty.
