UNCASVILLE, Conn. (March 1, 2017) – The Connecticut Sun will open its 15th season by hosting a two-day preseason event involving the New York Liberty, Chicago Sky and defending WNBA champion Los Angeles Sparks on May 2nd and 3rd at Mohegan Sun Arena.
On May 2nd, New York will play Los Angeles at 5 p.m. while the Sun meet Chicago at 7 p.m. On May 3rd, New York and Chicago play at 5 p.m. with the Sparks tipping off against Connecticut at 7 p.m. The Sun close out the preseason at New York on May 7th at 3 p.m.
“We are excited about our 2017 preseason schedule, including our continued commitment to hosting an annual four-team event at Mohegan Sun Arena that has become a popular tradition with our fans.” Sun coach and general manager Curt Miller said. “The event will feature three outstanding teams, including the defending WNBA champions. Then we finish the preseason at New York, which gives us the opportunity to play two of the top three teams from the 2016 season.”
