UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 12, 2017) – The Connecticut Sun announced today it has waived Kelly Faris and Jessica January.

Faris, selected by the Sun with the 11th pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft, saw action in 112 games during four seasons in Connecticut. The guard averaged 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.

“We appreciate all that Kelly Faris has done for the Connecticut Sun and the entire state,” Sun head coach and general manager Curt Miller said. “I truly appreciate her professionalism and approach to this great game. We wish her nothing but success in the future.”

January, selected with the 28th overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft by the Sun, had 13 points and eight rebounds in three games during the preseason for Connecticut.
