Uncasville, CT (March 1, 2022) – The FLYY Movement has been named the Connecticut Sun’s “Change Can’t Wait” Business of the Month this March. Through Empowerment Freedom Coaching, movement, mindfulness and moments to process internal messages, The FLYY Movement serves as a wholistic and safe space where women 40 years and older are invited to come into connection with limiting beliefs or personal trauma that may be holding them back from living their lives the way they want.
The FLYY Movement Founder and CEO, Sistah Anyangō Yaa Asantewaa-Battles is an Empowerment Freedom Coach, motivational speaker, performing artist and fitness professional. Having freed herself from past traumas through her practices, she has utilized movement and mindfulness to create a process that supports many women in freeing themselves from the negativity of their past experiences and encourages them to love themselves for exactly who they are.
“I’m humbled and honored that The FLYY Movement is being featured as the Connecticut Sun’s Business of the Month, particularly as it is also Women’s History Month. It is my mission to do all that I can to support women forty years and older to feel empowered, encouraged and free to do ALL they are guided to do–standing their ground; speaking their truth; No Matter What; No Matter Who. Because I also believe that CHANGE CAN’T WAIT.” -Sistah Anyangō Yaa Asantewaa-Battles
The FLYY Movement, which stands for Freedom to Love the You in You, was established in 2007. A dynamic business that caters to the needs of its members, The FLYY Movement offers a variety of experiences—Zumba®, BodyLove, African Dances & Dances of the Diaspora, Empowerment Freedom Coaching sessions and workshop—at The Fred Astaire Studio at 141 South Street, Unit F, West Hartford, Connecticut.
“Having the opportunity to see and experience a small portion of the work Sister Anyangō does made me extremely proud to feature The FLYY Movement as our March ‘Change Can’t Wait’ Business of the Month. With March being Women’s History Month, we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the month than with a business that spreads positivity and confidence, and empowers women. The FLYY Movement does that and so much more.” – Morgan Tuck, Director of Franchise Development
