Sun Take on Aces Sunday Night

Las Vegas, NV: The Connecticut Sun (5-24) continue their west coast road-trip, taking on the Las Vegas Aces (17-14) on Sunday, August 10 at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT at Michelob Ultra Arena. The game will air locally on NBC Sports Boston with Brendan Glasheen and Ashley on the call. It will also be available to stream on WNBA League Pass.

In their last game on Thursday night, the Sun fell to the Los Angeles Sparks 102-91 on the road in Los Angeles. Marina Mabrey and Tina Charles both finished with 19 points and seven rebounds. Bria Hartley notched 16 points and three assists. Rounding out the double-digit scorers was Leila Lacan with 10 points, a career and season-high seven assists, and three steals. Despite the loss, the Sun hit new season-highs in three-point field goals made (13), offensive rebounds (14), first-half points (51) and second-chance points (25) in the game.

Last time out against the Las Vegas Aces on July 6, the Sun fell 86-68 at home in Uncasville. Rookie forward Aneesah Morrow led the Sun in scoring for the third-straight game, notching 12 points, three rebounds, two steals and one block in 22 minutes played. The outing marks Morrow’s sixth 10+ point performance this season. Tina Charles finished with 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 24 minutes played in the game. Saniya Rivers rounded out the 10+ point scorers with 10 points, a career-high seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 31 minutes played. The Sun will look for their first regular season win against the Aces since June 8, 2023.

The Aces enter Sunday’s game coming off a 90-86 home win over the Seattle Storm on Friday night. Reigning WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson finished with a double-double, tallying 29 points and 12 rebounds, while Jackie Young added 26 points, five rebounds and five assists. Las Vegas is currently enjoying a three-game win streak after dropping three of their last five previous contests.
