Sun Back Home Sunday Against Aces

Uncasville, CT: The Connecticut Sun (2-15) are back at home on Sunday, July 6 when they host the Las Vegas Aces (8-9) at 4:00 PM ET at Mohegan Sun Arena. The game will air locally on NBC Sports Boston with Brendan Glasheen, Meghan McKeown and Terrika Foster-Brasby on the call. It will also be available to stream on WNBA League Pass.

Last time out on Sunday night, the Sun fell to the Minnesota Lynx, 102-63, on the road in Minneapolis. Aneesah Morrow led the Sun for the second-straight game with another double-double. She finished with 16 points and a career-high tying 11 rebounds. Morrow also added two assists, a career-high five steals and one block in 27 minutes played off the bench. Her five steals mark a new high for a Sun player in a single game this season. Olivia Nelson-Ododa was the only other Sun player to reach double-figures in the game, finishing with 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and one block. With one block in the game, she reached 100 blocks for her WNBA career, achieving the feat in 122 regular season games played.

The Connecticut Sun fell to the Las Vegas Aces in their second meeting of 2025, 85-59, on June 25 the road in Las Vegas. Tina Charles led the Sun with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in the game. She finished 7/17 from the floor and 4/4 from the free-throw line. The outing marks the eighth time the 14-year league veteran has led Connecticut in scoring this season. Olivia Nelson-Ododa notched 12 points, five rebounds and one block in the game, while rookie guard Saniya Rivers rounded out the Sun’s double-digit scorers with 10 points, two rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks on the night. Connecticut will look to pick up their first regular season win over Las Vegas since June 8, 2023.

The Aces enter Sunday’s game coming off an 81-54 loss to the Indiana Fever on Thursday night. A’ja Wilson led Las Vegas in the effort with 29 points, three rebounds and one assist. Las Vegas Head Coach Becky Hammon enters her fourth season with the Aces and holds a 95-38 all-time regular season record, as well as a 9-2 regular season tally against the Sun.
