Phoenix, AZ: The Connecticut Sun (26-10) are back in action Friday, September 13 at 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT against the Phoenix Mercury (17-19) on the road at the Footprint Center. The Sun enter Friday night’s contest 3-0 against the Mercury during the 2024 regular season. The game will air on ION and stream live on WNBA League Pass.

Marina Mabrey led the Sun in scoring with a season-high 26 points, tying her career-high with six made three-point field goals. She also added two rebounds, four assists and one block in 27 minutes off the bench for Connecticut. Brionna Jones added 19 points, eight rebounds, one assist and two blocks in the win. She has gone for 17+ points in Connecticut’s last five outings. Alyssa Thomas finished three-points shy of what would have been her second straight triple-double. She notched seven points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists and one steal in the game. She also became the franchise leader in field goals made (1484), steals (491) and double-doubles (81) in the win.

She currently leads the WNBA in most games with 5+ steals, doing it on three occasions this season, and is seventh overall in steals per game (1.7).
