Sun Back Home Tuesday Night Against Lynx

Uncasville, CT: The Connecticut Sun (27-11) are back home for their final two 2024 regular season games. They will host the Minnesota Lynx (29-9) on Tuesday, September 17 at 7:00 PM ET at Mohegan Sun Arena. The Sun are 2-0 against the Lynx this year and will look for the regular season sweep in Tuesday night’s showdown. The game will air on NBC Sports Boston and stream live on WNBA League Pass.

Last Time Out:

The Sun fell to the Las Vegas Aces, 84-71, on Sunday night on the road. Marina Mabrey led Connecticut with 18 points, five rebounds and three assists. She has led the Sun in scoring in five of her 14 games with the team this season. Brionna Jones finished with 17 points, a team-high nine rebounds and one steal in the effort. It marked her 7th straight performance with at least 17 points and her 30th double-digit outing of the year. Ty Harris rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Sun notching 16 points, one rebound and one assist.

Harris Heating Up:

After going on a four-game skid finishing in single-digit scoring, Sun point guard Ty Harris has averaged 14.0 points over her last two games, finishing with 12 points against Phoenix on September 13 and 16 points against Las Vegas on September 15. She tied her career-high with four three-point field goals in Sunday’s game against the Aces and has made at least one three-point field goal in 31 games this year (team-best), including in each of the Sun’s last eight games.

Opponent History:

Connecticut is 32-26 all-time against Minnesota during the regular season, including an 18-11 record at home. In their last meeting in Minneapolis on July 4, the Sun defeated the Lynx, 78-74. DeWanna Bonner led the way with 24 points, while Alyssa Thomas notched her second triple-double of the season with 13 points, 10 rebounds and a season-high 14 assists. Head Coach Cheryl Reeve is in her 15th season with Minnesota and is 17-21 all-time against Connecticut during regular season play.
