• Connecticut took a 45-34 lead over Minnesota into the locker room at the break. Brionna Jones tallied 11 points, five rebounds, one assist and one block in the first half to lead the Sun. Allen led the Lynx with 11 points, one rebound and one assist.
• The Sun shot 51.4% (19-37) from the field, while holding the Lynx to 37.8% (14-37) from the floor through twenty minutes of action.
• Connecticut outscored Minnesota in the paint (30-12), in second-chance points (8-2) and on the fast break (8-0), while Minnesota had the edge in bench points (19-17) after two quarters.
• The Sun and the Lynx each tallied nine points to open the third quarter, with the Sun maintaining a 54-43 lead with 5:34 remaining. DeWanna Bonner had five of Connecticut’s nine points in that stretch.
• Connecticut won the third quarter, 26-20, to take a 71-51 lead over Minnesota into the final quarter of action. Natisha Hiedeman had 12 third-quarter points, on four three-point field goals to lead the Sun out of the break.
• The Lynx opened the fourth quarter on a 12-7 run, cutting the Sun’s lead to 12, 78-66. DiJonai Carrington had four of her eight points in that stretch to lead Connecticut.
• Minnesota continued their run to cut into Connecticut’s lead further, 80-74, with 3:43 remaining in the game.
• Despite losing the fourth quarter by 10 points, the Sun were able to hang on, taking home the 90-83 victory in their final game before the playoffs.
• Hiedeman finished with 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and one block in the win. Jones also added 15 points, along with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
• The Sun outscored the Lynx in the paint (50-34), in second-chance points (10-9) and on the fast-break (12-4) in the win.
• Connecticut was 36-58 (52.9%) from the field, while Minnesota was 32-70 (45.7%) on the day.

The Connecticut Sun head into playoff contention as the three seed, taking on sixth seeded Dallas Wings on Thursday, August 18 at 7:00 PM EST at Mohegan Sun Arena. The Sun went 1-2 against the Wings during the 2022 regular season, but have won eight of the last ten meetings, dating back to the 2019 season. In their last matchup, Connecticut fell to Dallas, 82-71. Courtney Williams led the Sun with a season-high 25 points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal.
