  • Jones tallied a double-double in the first half with 15 points and 11 rebounds, along with one assist and three blocks to lead the Sun. Tiffany Mitchell had eight points and one steal to lead the Fever.
  • Connecticut shot 44.7% (17-38) from the field in the first half, while holding Indiana to just 26.7% (8-30) from the floor.
  • The Sun outscored the Fever in the paint (20-8), in second-chance points (11-4), fast break points (10-2) and bench points (7-4) in the first half.
  • Connecticut opened the second half on a 5-0 run, forcing Indiana to call an early timeout with 7:44 to go in the third. Natisha Hiedeman nailed her first triple of the game in that spurt.
  • The Sun led the Fever, 65-46, after three quarters of action. Hiedeman finished the third quarter with 11 of Connecticut’s 24 points, including three three-point field goals.
  • Indiana opened the fourth quarter on a 10-6 run forcing the Sun into a timeout with 7:21 to play. Vivians had four points to lead the Fever in that stretch.
  • Despite being outscored, 35-24, in the fourth quarter, the Sun came away with the 89-81 victory.
  • Bonner finished with 19 points, five rebounds and one steal in her milestone performance.
  • Jones tallied 17 points, three rebounds and two steals in 24 minutes off the bench.
  • The Sun shot 31-67 (46.3%) from the field, while the Fever shot 30-68 (44.1%) on the day.

The Connecticut Sun finish their road trip with a matchup with the Atlanta Dream on Friday, July 15 at 7:30 P.M. EST at the Gateway Center Arena at College Park. The Sun are 2-0 against the Dream this regular season and have won eight of the last ten meetings dating back to the 2019 season. In their last contest, Connecticut defeated Atlanta, 72-61, behind a 17-point performance from Courtney Williams.
