Uncasville, CT (August 3, 2022) – Today, the Connecticut Sun announced Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has joined as the team’s official health insurance partner. Anthem and the Sun are collaborating on initiatives to help address food insecurity across the state of Connecticut, with a focus on equitable access to nutritious foods and fitness mentorship in under-served communities.

It is exciting to come together as like-minded organizations to raise awareness of whole health across the state.”
As part of the program, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield stepped up as the presenting sponsor of the Connecticut Sun’s Farmers’ Markets and Community Garden events, a season-long campaign created to raise awareness of food insecurity in Connecticut. The Sun will work alongside Anthem associate volunteers with Fresh New London at the New London County Dream Market.
