Sun Around the World: December Update

Uncasville, CT- As the WNBA offseason continued into December, Connecticut Sun players remained busy competing around the globe. From Europe to Australia and beyond, Sun guards Leïla Lacan and Migna Touré and forward Haley Peters continued to make an impact with their overseas clubs. Plus, Sun guard Lindsay Allen officially tipped off her season in China, adding another destination to the team’s international presence. Check out how they performed throughout December below!

Leïla Lacan

Lacan helped lead French club, Basket Landes, to a 3-2 record over LFB and EuroLeague play in the month of December. She averaged 12.4 points over five games, finishing with at least 10 points in each contest. The 5-11 guard also contributed 1.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Her best performance came in a 77-70 win over DVTK on December 10 in EuroLeague competition where she finished with 17 points, along with four rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Migna Touré

In December, Touré and Turkish club, Besiktas, finished with a 3-3 record, 1-1 in EuroLeague competition and 2-2 in Turkish league play. Touré’s strongest individual outing came in the team’s 102-76 win against Canakkale Bld. on December 20, where she led her team with 18 points, three rebounds, six assists and one steal. She finished the month of December averaging 8.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steal over six games.

Haley Peters

Peters competed in four out of Australia’s Southside’s seven games in the month of December. Southside finished 3-4 in WNBL competition in December, including 3-1 with Peters available to play. The 6-2 forward averaged 12.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals over four games. In their final game of 2025, Southside defeated Sydney, 113-94, on December 30. Peters finished with a season-high 21 points, four rebounds, six assists and one steal in the win.

Lindsay Allen

On December 2, Sun guard Lindsay Allen began her WNBA offseason competition with Chinese club, Shandong, in the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA). Allen appeared in 10 contests for Shandong in December, helping lead the team to a 7-3 record. The 5-8 point-guard averaged 9.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 0.6 steals per game. She finished in double-digits on six occasions, including a 19-point performance in the team’s 73-72 win over Shanxi on December 5.
