Connecticut Sun Join the Fun at 2025 Donny’s Dash
Simsbury, CT- The Connecticut Sun brought their signature energy and community spirit to the 2025 Donny’s Dash, held this past Saturday in the scenic Farmington River Valley. Hosted by UConn legend Donny Marshall, this year’s event featured a festive Halloween-themed 5K Classic Run, a 1-Mile Fitness Walk, and the always-popular CT Sun Kids Fun Run—sponsored by the Sun for the fourth consecutive year. This year's Dash marked the largest in the event's history- with over 400 runners participating.
Sun guard Saniya Rivers, General Manager Morgan Tuck and President Jen Rizzotti made special appearances, cheering on participants, meeting fans, and celebrating the power of sport and community. Their presence added excitement and inspiration to a morning filled with movement, fun, and purpose.
Donny’s Dash welcomed runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, with Halloween costumes encouraged for a “scary good” time. The flat, USATF-certified 5K course offered stunning views of Simsbury and the Farmington River, while the Fitness Walk provided a relaxed way to join the festivities.
The event benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford, supporting youth development and wellness across the region. Post-race celebrations included healthy snacks, giveaways, entertainment, and fitness activities—making it a perfect fall morning for families and fans alike.
The Connecticut Sun are proud to continue their partnership with Donny’s Dash and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford, helping build brighter futures through sport, leadership, and community engagement.
