2024 Broadcast Team
The Connecticut Sun’s games will be called by a very talented group of broadcasters for the 2024 season: Brendan Glasheen, Terrika Foster-Brasby, Ashley Battle, Meghan McKeown, and Edona Thaqi.
Brendan Glasheen returns for his fourth season with the Connecticut Sun and will provide play-by-play commentary for Sun games. The 2015 Syracuse graduate is also the play-by-play announcer for the Maine Celtics, the G League affiliate of the Boston Celtics, on NBC Sports Boston. He also works college basketball games on CBS Sports Network and covered his first season of Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball in Dallas, Texas, this past winter.
Terrika Foster-Brasby is in her third season as sideline reporter for the Connecticut Sun and will also be returning as color analyst during select road games. A 2010 HBCU alumna from Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, NC, Foster-Brasby also serves as reporter and on-air analyst for CBS Sports and is most notably known as co-host of ESPN’s Around the Rim women’s basketball show. She has appeared on MSNBC and NBC/Peacock’s Brothers From Another, is co-host of Inflection Network’s 3 On 3 Basketball podcast, and has been featured on several editorial platforms, including Andscape, WSlam Magazine, and the New York Times. When not covering sports, Foster-Brasby can be seen participating in community outreach projects with her sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., to which she serves as president of the Theta Alpha Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Hartford, CT.
Ashley Battle enters her second season on the Sun’s broadcast team as a color commentator. Battle is an accomplished athlete, entrepreneur, and broadcaster. Battle is a three-time NCAA Women’s Basketball National Champion at the University of Connecticut and the 2003 Big East Defensive Player of the Year. In 2005, she was drafted 25th overall by the Seattle Storm, spent five seasons in the WNBA with the New York Liberty and San Antonio Silver Stars now the Las Vegas Aces), and played overseas in Turkey and Spain. Currently, Battle is the Assistant General Manager for the Maine Celtics and scouts for the Boston Celtics—the first female to hold the position for the franchise.
Meghan McKeown enters her first season on the Sun’s broadcast team. She is a basketball analyst for ESPN, NBC/Peacock, Big Ten Network, and FOX. She has called multiple NCAA tournament games and conference championships. Meghan has spent the past four WNBA seasons as the color commentator for the Chicago Sky and has also spent time covering the Indiana Fever. She played college hoops at Northwestern University (NU) and has been around women’s basketball her whole life. Her father, Joe, is the current head coach at NU and raised Meghan in the gym. She resides in New York with her husband, Patrick Wallace, who is an assistant men’s basketball coach at Iona University.
Edona Thaqi enters her first season on the Connecticut’s broadcast team. She is a first-generation American media personality and college basketball color commentator/sideline reporter. In her young career, she has covered games on both the women’s and men’s sides — in the Big East, Atlantic 10, MAAC, and Patriot League conferences. Thaqi played basketball for three seasons at Fordham University, where she earned her master’s degree in Sports Communication and B.A. in Economics. Prior to Fordham, Edona played one season at the University of Connecticut at Avery Point. Following her graduation from Fordham, Edona spent two years as a Broadcasting Assistant at the National Basketball Association (NBA). Edona represented Kosovo as a member of its national basketball team competing in the European Small Countries Championships in the summer of 2022. The experience was so influential that she later founded the Kosovo Basketball Heritage Academy, an annual, week-long basketball and mentorship program which gives back to young people in her family homeland. In addition, Edona will be returning to Kosovo this summer where she will serve as a national team assistant coach.
