Foxborough, MA (November 7, 2025) – On Wednesday, November 5, the Connecticut Sun participated in the Green Sports Alliance Strategy and Revenue Generation Symposium at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. The Green Sports Alliance 2025 “playbooks” are strategy and revenue generation in order to help sustainability champions at sports and entertainment organizations learn about and adopt sustainable operations. The one-day event explored those topics with experts who have contributed to these industry resources. Connecticut Sun Manager of Community Relations Shamare Holmes spoke on an afternoon panel discussion about fan engagement, community impact, and legacy. The panelists spoke on how to build impactful relationships with local partners and community groups while creating unique experiences to encourage fan loyalty.

The conference consisted of various conversations with numerous topics discussing stakeholder engagement, sustainable food management, nature restoration and preservation, compost and recycling, FIFA’s energy and emissions strategy, partnerships and sponsorships, and more. Additionally, a stadium sustainability tour, keynote speakers, and multiple networking sessions were showcased during the conference. The Green Sports Alliance Foundation hosted a Sports and Sustainability Career Day for 80 high school students across Massachusetts during the duration of this event. The Connecticut Sun assisted in order to build out a similar event with the foundation in the future for youth and young adults interested in sports, sustainability, and hospitality.
