Uncasville, CT (March 27, 2023) – Tiffany Hayes and CBK Mersin defeated Bourges in Game 3 of the EuroLeague Quarterfinal series, 91-63, on Wednesday, March 22. Hayes tallied 13 points and four rebounds in the win. CBK Mersin advances to the EuroLeague semifinals for the first time in the organization’s history. On Friday, March 24, CBK Mersin picked up a 90-75 victory over Besiktas in Turkish League play. Hayes led her team with 23 points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Alyssa Thomas, Brionna Jones took home a 74-66 victory over Perfumerias Avenida in Game 3 of the EuroLeague Quarterfinals series on Wednesday, March 22. Thomas led the charge with 20 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and one steal. Jones added 12 points and four rebounds in the win. With the victory, USK Prague advances to the EuroLeague semifinals. On Sunday, March 26, Jones and USK Prague defeated Slovanka in Game 1 of the Czech League Quarterfinals, 117-51. Jones led the way with 26 points, four rebounds, two assists and one block.

Lauren Cox and Valencia fell to Schio, 62-53, in Game 3 of the EuroLeague Quarterfinals series on Wednesday, March 22. Cox finished with three points, one rebound, one steal and two blocks in the effort. With the loss, Valencia’s EuroLeague season comes to a close at record of 10-7. On Saturday, March 25, Cox and Valencia picked up a 72-58 win over Gran Canaria in Spanish League competition. Cox tallied 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block.

Nirra Fields and Emlak Konut defeated Cankaya, 86-49, in Turkish League play on Friday, March 24. Fields filled the stat sheet with 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal in the win. With the victory, Emlak Konut sits at fifth place in the Turkish League standings with a record of 14-10.

Victoria Macaulay and Botas took home a 73-62 win over Besiktas in Turkish League competition on Sunday, March 27. Macaulay notched a double-double with 11 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in the victory.

Connecticut Sun players are back in overseas action this week beginning with Natisha Hiedeman and Maccabi Ashdod playing Ramat Hasharon at 12:00 PM EST on March 27. Hayes and CBK Mersin take on Ormanspor at 8:00 AM EST; Jones, Thomas and USK Prague match up against Slovanka at 12:00 PM EST; and Fields and Emlak Konut play Besiktas at 12:00 PM EST on March 28. Macaulay and Botas take on Rize at 9:00 AM EST; Hayes and CBK Mersin play Antalya 07 at 9:00 AM EST; Hiedeman and Maccabi Ashdod face off against Ramat Hasharon at 10:00 AM EST; and Cox and Valencia take on Estudiantes at 12:00 PM on March 30. On March 31, Thomas, Jones and USK Prague match up against Slovanka at 12:00 PM EST if needed. Mikiah Herbert Harrigan and the London Lions are back in action against the Sevenoaks Suns at 8:00 AM EST on April 1. To close out the week, Herbert Harrigan and the London Lions take on the Sheffield Hatters at 8:00 AM EST on April 2.
