The Connecticut Sun (12-5) are back home on Thursday, July 6 to take on the Seattle Storm (4-12). The Sun look to get back on track after losing back-to-back contests against the Liberty and Aces. In their last meeting, Connecticut defeated Seattle, 85-79, behind a 20-point performance from DeWanna Bonner and a triple-double from Alyssa Thomas (13 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists).

The Sun are led by 2023 WNBA All-Star, Alyssa Thomas who is currently leading the WNBA in steals per game (2.1) and second in the league in rebounds (10.1) and assists (8.0) per game. Additionally, five-time WNBA All-Star and league veteran, DeWanna Bonner, is filling that stat sheet for Connecticut, averaging 17.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. The Sun sit third overall in league standings (12-5) and second overall in Eastern Conference play (6-3).

The Storm enter Thursday’s contest on a three-game losing streak, most recently dropping a home-game to Liberty, 81-66, on Sunday July 2. Seattle is led by 2023 WNBA All-Star starter, Jewell Loyd, who leads the league in scoring with 25.8 points per game. UConn alum, Gabby Williams, will make her season-debut for the Storm on Thursday night. Williams averaged 7.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.5 steals for Seattle in 2022.
