Connecticut Sun Partners with BlueForge Alliance to Promote

As the first “Official Free Throw Circle Sponsor” of the Connecticut Sun, BFA – who serves a critical non-profit partner and integrator in the U.S. Navy’s efforts to stabilize and scale the defense manufacturing workforce – will increase awareness around the stable, family-sustaining career opportunities in the New England region while also highlighting the contributions of skilled tradeswomen already serving in the defense manufacturing workforce.

Throughout the 2024 season, BFA will aid the Connecticut Sun in its community efforts, most notably serving as the presenting partner of the Connecticut Sun’s Game-Action Give Back initiative “Free Throws for Change.” For every free throw made during the 2024 season, BFA will donate $10 to Girls for Technology, a non-profit that develops innovative programs created to mobilize women of color, improve economic mobility, and catalyze systems of change by providing the entrepreneurial training that sparks innovation to foster connection.

In addition to sponsoring “Free Throws for Change,” BFA will also be the presenting sponsor of a STEM career fair experience on the Mohegan Sun Arena concourse, and a pregame networking platform honoring women leaders during the Sun’s Women of Inspiration Night on August 23.
