GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Connecticut Sun fell to the Las Vegas Aces in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals, 67-64.
- Alyssa Thomas led the Sun with 19 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, three steals and postseason career-high three blocks.

- Las Vegas opened the game shooting 72.7% (8-11) compared to Connecticut’s 40% (4-10).
- The Sun finished the first quarter on an 8-4 run, to cut the Aces’ lead to eight, 25-17. Thomas had six points, three rebounds and two assists to lead Connecticut after ten minutes of play.
- Connecticut opened the second quarter on a 6-0 spurt to cut Las Vegas’s lead to two, 25-23. Brionna Jones had four of the Sun’s six points in that stretch.
- Connecticut led Las Vegas, 34-32, with 2:46 to go in the second half. The Sun took their first lead of the contest on a Jones’ layup, 32-30, at the 5:05 mark in the second quarter.
- The Sun led the Aces, 38-34, heading into the locker room at the half. After their red-hot start, Connecticut was able to contain Las Vegas to just a nine second quarter points (21-9).
- The Aces’ 34 points also marks their lowest total in a single half this postseason.
- Thomas and Jones each had ten points at the break to lead the Sun. A’ja Wilson finished the first half with 12 points, two rebounds, two steals and one blocks to lead the Aces.
- Connecticut outscored Las Vegas in the paint (24-12), in second chance points (8-0), on the fast break (4-0) and in bench points (10-0) through twenty minutes.
- The Sun opened the second half outscoring the Aces, 12-10, to take a 50-44 lead with 4:33 remaining in the third quarter. Jones had five of Connecticut’s 12 points in that stretch out of the locker room.
- The Aces finished the third quarter on a 11-5 run to take a two-point lead into the fourth quarter, 55-53. Jones had seven points and one rebound to lead Connecticut in the third.
- Connecticut trailed Las Vegas, 59-55, with 6:26 remaining in the contest.
- The Sun finished the contest on a 9-8 run, but ultimately fell to the Aces in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals, 67-64.
- Jones finished with 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one block in the effort.
- Connecticut finished the day shooting 37.8% (28-74) from the floor, while Las Vegas shot 39.7% (23-58) from the field- a 2022 postseason low.
- The Sun outscored the Aces in the paint (40-22), on second chance points (10-8), on the fast break (12-0) and bench points (12-5) on the day.
