GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Hiedeman led all scorers with 13 first-half points, along with two rebounds, two assists and two steals. Hayes led the Dream with 11 points, five rebounds and one assist in the first half.
  • The Sun were 16-34 (47.1%) from the floor, while holding the Dream to 14-33 (42.4%) from the field, including 0-8 from three, in the first two quarters of play.
  • Connecticut outscored Atlanta on the fast break (8-4), but Atlanta had the edge in points in the paint (24-20) in the first half. Both teams had four points second-chance points and four bench points after twenty minutes of action.

  • Connecticut opened the fourth quarter on a 9-5 run to take an 86-57 lead with 5:54 left in the game. Joyner Holmes had four of the Sun’s nine points in that stretch.
