Connecticut Sun Announce 2024 Season Schedule

Sun host Fever to begin 2024 campaign on May 14 in Uncasville.

Uncasville, CT (December 18, 2023) – The 2024 WNBA regular season schedule is finalized, the league announced today. The Connecticut Sun will tip off the franchise’s 22nd season at home on Tuesday, May 14 at 8:00 PM ET against the Indiana Fever at Mohegan Sun Arena. The Sun will play 40 games during the 2024 regular season, which spans from mid-May through mid-September, with a month-long break from July 17 to August 15 accounting for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The Sun will play each Eastern Conference opponent (the Atlanta Dream, Chicago Sky, Indiana Fever and New York Liberty) as well as the Phoenix Mercury and Los Angeles Sparks four times apiece, while taking on the Dallas Wings, Las Vegas Aces, Minnesota Lynx and Seattle Storm three times each throughout the 2024 regular season.

The Connecticut Sun’s 2024 schedule highlights include a 2023 WNBA Semifinals rematch against the reigning WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty on Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 PM ET at Mohegan Sun Arena and a road challenge against the two-time defending WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces on Friday, June 21 at 10:00 PM ET at Michelob Ultra Arena.

The Sun play at home for three straight games, three times this season and take their longest road trip from September 8-15 where they play two games in Los Angeles, one in Phoenix and one in Las Vegas. Connecticut closes their 2024 regular season with a two-game homestand against Minnesota on September 17 and Chicago on September 19.

Connecticut Sun at TD Garden

For the first time in league history, Boston, Massachusetts will be the location of a WNBA regular season contest, as the Connecticut Sun host the Los Angeles Sparks at TD Garden, home of the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins, on August 20 at 7:00 PM ET. The game in Boston comes from the organization’s desire to give access to the Connecticut Sun brand to a larger swath of New England, giving an in-person experience to the loyal and passionate New England fans that live closer to the Boston area and generating more excitement around the WNBA in an area well-known for its sports fanaticism.

“The Sun is New England’s professional women’s basketball team with passionate fans across the region. Hosting our game in Boston, a place full of such a rich, winning tradition for New England sports, just made sense. Our vision is to provide access and exposure to the Connecticut Sun brand to thousands of sports fans, children and their families, and for young girls to see first-hand that they can play at Boston’s hallowed TD Garden someday. This all would not be possible without the support of our partners at TD Garden and the Boston Celtics family, sharing their world class fan experience playbook with us. We are proud to be New England’s WNBA team, and we can’t wait to shine in Boston.” – Jen Rizzotti, Connecticut Sun President
