This partnership, created with a desire to shine a light on the power of prioritizing women’s health and the strength it takes to live authentically both on and off the court, will incorporate several different areas of the Connecticut Sun organization including serving as the presenting sponsor of the Connecticut Sun Home Opener against the Indiana Fever on May 14 at 8:00 PM EST, a three-part content series highlighting Sun players, benefits for Connecticut Sun season ticket members, and assisting in various community outreach initiatives, most notably sponsoring a Connecticut Sun “Change on Wheels” mobile outreach unit which will allow the Connecticut Sun community relations team to access a wider range of communities in the New England area.

Walgreens will also be the sponsor of a new Connecticut Sun Game Action Give Back called Sun Assists. For every assist a Connecticut Sun player gets during the 2024 season, Walgreens will donate $20 to Vitamin Angels, a non-profit that focuses on providing nutrients to pregnant and post-partum mothers.
