Beatrice Mompremier Accepts Qualifying Offer, Returning to Connecticut

Uncasville, CT (January 4, 2022) – Today, the Connecticut Sun announced that Beatrice Mompremier has signed the qualifying offer extended by Head Coach and General Manager, Curt Miller.

Per team policy, no details were released.

“Beatrice is just scratching the surface, and we are elated with her continued growth,” said Miller. “Bea has a great motor and impacts the game with her rebounding and defense. She provides us with excellent post depth and is a dependable teammate. We are excited that she will be back in a Sun uniform.”

Mompremier, who was selected 20th overall in the 2020 WNBA Draft, played in all 32 regular season games for the Connecticut Sun last season. Bringing significant length and rebounding off the bench, the 6-4 forward averaged 8.6 minutes per game, in which she tallied 1.8 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game.

Seeing 275 minutes of play, Mompremier ended the season with 57 points, 77 rebounds and 12 steals. She tallied her 100th career point in a win over the New York Liberty on September 15, and grabbed her 100th career rebound against the Chicago Sky on June 19.

A steady presence in the paint throughout the season, Mompremier led the league in games played off the bench (32) and was eighth in the league in rebounds off the bench (77).
