The majority of Connecticut Sun players have completed their overseas commitments. Currently, the only member of the Sun still in action abroad is Lynetta Kizer. She is averaging 15.5 points and 5.7 rebounds in 22 games for Olympiacos Pireus in Greece. On April 20, her team swept Dafni Agioy in the league semifinals and will take on Athinaikos in the finals starting on April 26. Earlier this month, Kizer captured a regular season Greek League title with Olympiacos Pireus.
Danielle Adams had 18 points and six rebounds in Game 4 of the Israeli League championship series, but it was not enough as Maccabi Ramat Gan fell 71-62 to Maccabi Ashdod on Thursday night.
Adams averaged 19.3 points, and eight rebounds in 29 games for Maccabi Ramat Gan.
In Italy, Reshanda Gray averaged 19 points and 10.9 rebounds through 24 games for Napoli. After making it to the Italian League quarterfinals, Napoli fell to Venezia 2-1 in the qualifying series, allowing Venezia to advance to the semifinals. Gray averaged 15.3 points and 12.3 rebounds, leading the team in both scoring and rebounds in two of the three contests.
In her first season overseas in South Korea, Jonquel Jones averaged 15.8 points and 14.3 rebounds for Woori Bank. After a strong regular season, Jones and her Woori Bank team went on to sweep Sun teammate Alyssa Thomas’ Samsung Life squad in the South Korean WKBL finals. In the three-game sweep, Jones averaged 15.3 points and an astonishing 23 rebounds per game, including a 27-point, 25-rebound effort in the third game to close out the title series in overtime. It was the fifth consecutive WKBL title for Woori Bank. Jones led the team in scoring and rebounding.
In her second season in South Korea, Thomas averaged 15.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists through 28 games for Samsung Life. Thomas averaged 11.3 points, 11.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in the championship series against Woori Bank, including a 21 point, 16 rebound double-double effort in Game 1 of the finals.
In Turkey, Shekinna Stricklen averaged 10.4 points and 3.8 rebounds for Fenerbahce. In EuroLeague play, she averaged 9.6 points and 3.5 rebounds. After advancing to the EuroLeague finals with a 70-61 semifinal win over UMMC Ekaterinburg on April 14th, Fenerbahce fell 77-63 to unbeaten Dynamo Kursk in the EuroLeague title game on April 16th.
Also in Turkey, Alex Bentley averaged 17.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists for Adana ASKI Mersin.
In Israel, Jasmine Thomas averaged 14 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists for Ramat Hasharon, which narrowly missed qualifying Israeli League postseason quarterfinals.
Also in Israel, Allison Hightower averaged seven points, 4.9 assists and 3.3 rebounds in seven games for Maccabi Ashdod. In EuroCup play, Hightower averaged 9.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in three games.
In Turkey, Courtney Williams averaged 11.6 points and 6.6 rebounds in 14 games for Girne Universitesi. On February 25th, she had seven points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 69-54 loss to Yakin Dogu BGD.
