UNCASVILLE, Conn. (June 21, 2017) – Connecticut Sun guard Alex Bentley has returned to the team after participating in the FIBA EuroBasket Women’s Tournament. To make room on the roster, Feyonda Fitzgerald was waived.
Bentley, who holds a dual passport, represented Belarus in the tournament. She averaged 14 points, 4.3 assists and four rebounds in three games during group play.
Fitzgerald saw limited minutes during Bentley’s absence, playing in two games. In eight minutes, the Temple product pulled down four rebounds and dished out one assist.
