This sponsorship goes toward girls teams of up to 12 players and contains the following:
- 12 jerseys
- 12 pairs of Moolah kicks
- Socks and head bands
- 4 coaches polos
- Up to $1000 in league and tournament entrance fees
ABOUT BEAT THE ODDS LIFESTYLE
Beat The Odds Lifestyle (BTOL) is a non-profit organization that was created by Jhamal Diggs, a high school coach in Rhode Island, to help and guide inner city youth and change their lives for the better. The AAU program uses the game of basketball as a vehicle to mentor young people toward a positive direction in their lives. BTOL has given youth in Rhode Island opportunities for exposure in sports, involvement in the community, and the creation of many more avenues to help them be successful in life. This spring, BTOL AAU will consist of a 6th/7th grade girls team.
ABOUT NFA GIRLS BASKETBALL
The NFA girls basketball team is comprised of 12 high school girls from Norwich Free Academy, a local public school in Norwich. The team is a mixture of student athletes from the town of Norwich and surrounding towns like Preston, Lisbon, Voluntown and Canterbury, amongst others. The NFA girls team is committed to representing their school and the community of Norwich each time they step on the court. Their team word is Unity–a word they came up with last year and feel describes their respect for one another, their opponents, and their community.
