UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 8, 2017) – The Connecticut Sun announced today it has waived forward Kayla Pedersen.
The 6-foot-4 Pedersen had not yet reported to Sun training camp because she was still playing with Lucca, which captured the Italian League Serie A championship in four games over Familia Schio.
Originally acquired for a second round pick in a trade with the Tulsa Shock on June 20, 2013, Pedersen appeared in 89 games for the Sun. She did not play in the WNBA last season.
The Sun still have 15 players in training camp, and must cut their roster down to 12 by Friday.
