Sun Overseas Round Up – 12/8/15

Veteran forward Camille Little continues to play well in Italy, where she had a game-high 21 points with five rebounds and a pair of made threes as visiting Ragusa upended previously-undefeated Familia Schio, 79-69, on December 6th. Ragusa and Familia Schio are now both 8-1, tied for second in the Italian League standings.

Little is averaging 18 points and 6.1 rebounds with a team-best 14 made threes for Ragusa, which trails only undefeated Lucca (9-0) in the standings.

Kayla Pedersen helped Lucca stay undefeated on December 6th, collecting a team-high five steals to go along with six rebounds and six points in a 74-57 home victory over fifth-place Di Lupari (5-4). Pedersen is averaging 14 points and 7.7 rebounds.

In Israel, Jasmine Thomas had 11 points, six rebounds and six assists as Bnot Hertzeliya improved to 4-1 with a 77-67 win over Elitzur Holon (1-5). Thomas is averaging 17.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists for Bnot Hertzeliya, which is in second place in the Israeli League.

In Turkey, Elizabeth Williams had 26 points and 14 rebounds as Istanbul (5-2) moved into a five-way tie for second place in the Turkish League standings with an 80-63 win over Adana ASKI. Williams is averaging 17.8 points and 11.7 rebounds for Istanbul.

Also in Turkey, Kelsey Bone scored a team-high 25 points, and she also had eight rebounds and six assists as Yakin Dogu upset second-place Hatay, 104-99. Bone is averaging 14.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists for Yakin Dogu (4-3). Connecticut Sun teammate Alyssa Thomas is playing on the same team with Bone, averaging 19.6 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Chelsea Gray had a big game for first-place Abdullah Gul (6-1), hitting five threes on the way to 17 points, six assists and five rebounds in an 88-70 win over Orduspor.

Rounding out the Turkish results for Sun players, Alex Bentley is averaging 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists for Gelistirenler (2-5). She had 18 points, six assists, three steals and three made threes in a 79-73 loss to Mersin on December 6th.

In South Korea, Shekinna Stricklen had nine points and four rebounds as first-place Woori Bank Hansae improved to 9-2 with a 67-58 win over KB All Stars. Stricklen is averaging 18.8 points and 8.1 rebounds.

Finally, in Poland, Nikki Greene had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds as MKS Polkowicz (9-2) moved into second place with a 51-42 victory over Widzew.
