Hello Everyone!
It’s been a little while since I’ve written a blog, but I’m excited to update all of you on what’s been going on. First off, I hope everyone had a great holiday and a happy new year! I had a blast spending time at home in Virginia.
In a couple of my previous blogs I talk about how one of my goals is to get in great shape so that I can preform my best this upcoming season. Besides working out and rehab, I have been trying to change my diet. During my rehab journey I’ve been working with Connecticut Sun strength coach, Tim Yuhas. He has me on a nutrition program that is awesome! I’ve learned so much about eating habits, all of the different foods that are great for you, and different ways to prepare those foods.
I think my favorite part of the program is that there is a focus on my mentality and what my specific goals are. Eating healthy is something that I think is essential for me to get in great shape and to preform at my best. I enjoy eating healthy but I definitely miss some of the foods I really try to limit. The main one is ICE CREAM! I love ice cream! I try to keep ice cream as something that I eat every now and then.
Overall, I’m enjoying my healthier diet and I can definitely tell the difference in how my body feels. It’s something that I will definitely continue in the future.
