UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 5, 2017) – Veteran forward Lynetta Kizer joined the Connecticut Sun training camp Friday.
To make room on the 15-player training camp roster, the Sun waived center Jennifer Hamson.
“We’ve been waiting a long time for Lynetta to arrive,” Connecticut Sun head coach and general manager Curt Miller said of Kizer. “She brought a lot of energy in her first practice. Brought the communication that we’ve heard so much about from everybody she’s played with. She understands how to play. She is just going to be a fantastic mentor for J.J. (Jonquel Jones) and Morgan (Tuck).”
Kizer joined the Sun after helping Olympiacos Pireus win the Greek league championship over Athinaikos.
