  • The Sun improved to 6-1 at home and 9-5 overall snapping a three-game losing streak.
  • Connecticut which trailed 38-30 at halftime is now 3-3 when trailing at the half.
  • Kaila Charles recorded the first double-double of her career as she scored in double figures for the fourth straight game. She finished with 12 points to go with a career-high 12 rebounds to give her 102 for her career. Charles led the Sun with nine points in the first quarter hitting 4 of 5 from the floor.
  • DeWanna Bonner recorded her third double-double of the season and second in the last three games as she finished with game-high 25 points and a season-high 13 rebounds. It was her fourth game this season with over 20 points. She also had a season-high tying six assists in the win.
  • Brionna Jones had a career-high for the second straight game as she scored 26 points . She had set a career-high with 22 points at Chicago on Saturday (6/19).
  • Bonner and Jones combined for 35 of the Sun’s 50 second half points. Bonner had 18 in the second half while Jones added 17 in the second half.
  • Bonner (14) and Jones (9) had 23 of the Sun’s 28 points in the third quarter
  • Jasmine Thomas scored in double figures for third straight game as she had 11 points.
  • Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 18 points.
  • Dallas used a 14-3 run in the first half to turning a 19-13 deficit into a 27-22 lead with 7:20 left in the opening half.
  • The Wings, who led 38-30 at halftime, scored the final five points of the first half and started the second half with an 8-2 run to open up a 46-32 lead with 6:55 left in the third quarter. Connecticut would then score 10 straight cutting the deficit to 46-42 with 4:38 left in the third.
  • The Sun capped a 21-3 third quarter run with back-to-back layups by Brionna Jones to take a 53-49 lead with 2:20 left in the third quarter.  Bonner had 10 points in the run while Jones added nine accounting for 19 of the 21 points in the run. The Sun led 58-53 after three.
  • The 30 points by Connecticut were its second lowest in the first half this season. The Sun scored 27 points in the opening half at Las Vegas on May 23rd.
  • The Sun’s 10 second quarter points was tied for its second lowest in any quarter this season. Connecticut scored nine points in the second quarter at Las Vegas on May 23rd.
