In China, Sun forward Jonquel Jones averaged a team-high 28.8 points, 18.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists over 33 games for Shanxi Xing Rui. On March 14th, she finished her season overseas with six points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks in an 85-63 loss to Beijing in Game 3 of the Chinese League Finals. Shanxi Xing Rui was swept in the championship series 3-0.
In Turkey, veteran Jasmine Thomas is averaging 17.0 points, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds through 18 games for OGM Orman Genclik Ankara. On March 17th, she led the team with 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists and one steal in an 85-75 loss to Hatay BSB. OGM Orman Genclik Ankara will face Botas next on March 24th.
Sun forward Alyssa Thomas is spending the offseason in South Korea playing for the Samsung Life Blue Minx. On March 5th, Samsung finished of their regular season play with a 76-63 win over the KB Stars.
In her first season overseas in Russia, Sun forward Brionna Jones is averaging 11.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in 17 games for Nadezhda Orenburg. On March 18th, she had 13 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and one steal in a 79-64 loss to UMMC Ekaterinburg. Nadezhda Orenburg will close out their regular season against Inventa on March 25th. Also playing for Nadezhda Orenburg is Sun guard Alex Bentley, who is averaging 15.6 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds through eight games. In the loss to UMMC Ekaterinburg, she finished with 14 points, two assists and one rebound.
In the Czech Republic, Sun draft pick Leticia Romero averaged 9.5 points, 7.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds over 22 games for ZVVZ USK Praha. On March 17th, she closed out her regular season play adding two points, 10 assists, five rebounds and two steals in an 84-60 win over Nymburk. ZVVZ USK Praha will now face Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic League quarterfinals series scheduled to begin on March 21st.
Morgan Tuck (Shaanxi Tianze), Courtney Williams (Perth Lynx), Rachel Banham (Bendigo Spirit) and Kayla Pedersen (Dandenong Rangers) have all completed their seasons overseas.
