Also in Australia, Courtney Williams is averaging a team-high 21.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in four games for the Perth Lynx. She had 14 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals in Thursday’s 106-79 win over Sun teammate Rachel Banham and the Bendigo Spirit.
Sun forward Kayla Pedersen is in Australia as well, where she is averaging 14.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists through two games for the Dandenong Rangers. On October 14th, she finished with a team-high 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists and a steal in a 70-65 loss to the Sydney Uni Flames.
In Turkey, veteran Jasmine Thomas is spending the offseason playing for OGM Orman. In the season-opener on October 7th, she had a team-high 23 points, four assists, three steals and a rebound in an 83-65 loss to Fenerbahce.
In her first season overseas in Russia, Sun forward Brionna Jones is averaging 8.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game for Nadezhda Orenburg. In Euroleague play, she is averaging 4.0 points and 4.0 rebounds. On October 18th, she finished with four points, four rebounds and a block in a 63-58 win over Wisla Krakow.
In the Czech Republic, Sun draft pick Leticia Romero is averaging 8.5 points, 6.7 assists, 3.3 steals and 2.8 rebounds through six games for USK Praha. On October 14th, she had three points, five assists, one rebound and a steal in an 86-55 win over Zabiny Brno. In Euroleague play, she is averaging seven points, five rebounds and 4.5 assists in two contests. She finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and a block in an 82-77 loss to Galatasaray.
