2019 Dance Team And National Anthem Singer Auditions

The Connecticut Sun will be holding open tryouts for National Anthem singers as well as the Solar Power, Sunsationals and Sun Beams dance teams on March 16^th .

The three dance teams will perform at Connecticut Sun home games throughout the season as well as appear at team events in the community.

About Our Teams:

• The Sun Beams are comprised of energetic kids between the ages of 7 and 15.  They perform their fun, upbeat routines at multiple Sun home games throughout the season.  These kids definitely bring high energy to the court, along with style, and impressive tricks!
• The Sunsationals are a group of dancers ages 50 and above.  These dancers are certainly a hit at many Sun home games.  Their energy is infectious and they will make you want to get up and dance too!
• The Solar Power dance team is made up of dancers ages 17 and up.  These dancers have both hip hop and technical backgrounds.  Solar Power performs at every home game.  They also attend many community and promotional events throughout the season and host a dance clinic for local youth members.

The Connecticut Sun dance teams are coached by Rachel and Shana Pirie and managed by Claire Czerniuk.

Audition details:

• Sun Beams
  • Registration: 8 a.m.
  • Audition 8:30-10 a.m.
• Sunsationals
  • Registration: 11 a.m.
  • Audition 11:30-1 p.m.
• Solar Power
  • Registration 1:30 p.m.
  • Audition 2-3:30 p.m.
• National Anthem Auditions
  • Registration 3:30 p.m.
  • Audition 4-5:30 p.m.

Dancers should wear active wear, a t-shirt and dance sneakers or tennis shoes.

All dancers must be able to commit to scheduled practices, home games and playoff games. Our Schedule is available HERE.

$20 registration fee required

Participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to the tryouts.

*Pre-registration is not required. Walk-ups are welcome.
