UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 25, 2016) – The Connecticut Sun begins its broadcast schedule on WCCT-TV, Tribune Broadcasting’s Hartford station, on Saturday, May 28th at Seattle. Game time is set for 10 p.m. ET at Key Arena.
This will be the first of two games that will be televised on the upcoming road trip. The second is Tuesday, May 31st at 10 p.m. ET when the Sun take on the Phoenix Mercury.
A total of seven games will be shown on WCCT throughout the 2016 season. The rest of the schedule includes June 12th at Atlanta (3 p.m.), June 26th at Los Angeles (5 p.m.), July 2nd at Dallas (8:30 p.m.) and August 28th at Atlanta (3 p.m.).
The first independently owned WNBA franchise, the Connecticut Sun have been one of the most successful teams in the league, advancing to the playoffs eight times with five trips to the Eastern Conference Finals and two appearances in the WNBA Finals. First-year coach Curt Miller takes over a talented young lineup that includes 2014 WNBA Rookie of the Year Chiney Ogwumike, 2015 All Stars Alex Bentley and Kelsey Bone and 2016 first-round draft picks Morgan Tuck, Rachel Banham and Jonquel Jones.
