In Turkey, three Connecticut Sun players had a major impact in the outcome of a game between Yakin Dogu and Istanbul Universitesi on November 15th, the last time either team has played.
Alyssa Thomas (15 points, 14 rebounds) and Kelsey Bone (15 points, nine rebounds) helped Yakin Dogu pull out a 71-70 victory over Istanbul, despite the efforts of Elizabeth Williams (12 points, 12 rebounds). Both teams are now 3-2.
Thomas is averaging 19.6 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists while Bone is averaging 13 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Williams is averaging 15.8 points and 10.3 rebounds for Istanbul.
Also in Turkey, Alex Bentley is averaging 13.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists for Gelistirenler (1-4) through five games.
In Italy, Kayla Pedersen had a great performance for undefeated Lucca (7-0) on November 14th, collecting a team-best 18 points and 11 rebounds in a 75-69 road win at Venezia (5-2). Lucca rallied from an eight-point first-quarter deficit to remain unbeaten. Pedersen is averaging 14.6 points and 6.3 rebounds so far this season.
Camille Little is also having a strong season in Italy, averaging 17.7 points and 6.6 rebounds for Ragusa (6-1). She had 10 points in a 65-53 win over Napoli on November 14th, the last time Ragusa played.
In Gemika, Spain on November 14th, Chelsea Gray collected 13 points, five assists and five rebounds as Girona won its eighth straight, 71-63, exploding in the fourth quarter to defeat third place Gemika (6-3). Gray is averaging 18.4 points, eight rebounds and 4.4 assists this season.
In South Korea, Shekinna Stricklen had 30 points and 12 rebounds as first-place Woori Bank Hansae defeated second-place Hanabank, 74-65 on November 22nd. It was the fourth straight win for Woori Bank Hansae, which is 6-1 on the year.
In Israel, Jasmine Thomas is averaging 19.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and five assists for Bnot Hertzeliya, which has not played since November 9th.
In Poland, Nikki Greene is averaging 9.9 points and 7.9 rebounds for MKS Polkowicz, which has not played since November 7th.
