Connecticut Sun Head Coach Curt Miller
On the slow start and first half struggles against San Antonio:
“I think last year we, myself included, would have panicked more.  I wasn’t always positive towards my coaching staff through some of those struggles in the first half because what we thought could potentially hurt us was hurting us. There’s certainly a level of growth and maturity and leadership from this group that they believe. They weren’t happy with the way they played, they know they didn’t play the type of way they are capable of playing. It’s fun to watch players take ownership. It’s fun to watch players coach themselves. You don’t always have to make magical adjustments as a coaching staff when you have a team that accepts accountability and can look themselves in the mirror. Again, it was a lot of determination, effort and just a higher level of desire in that second half.”

Next Game: The Connecticut Sun return home to host the Chicago Sky at Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday, July 25th at 7:00 p.m. ET.  Buy Tickets
