UNCASVILLE, Conn. (April 27, 2017) – The Connecticut Sun announced today that veteran forward Danielle Adams has joined the team.
To make room on the 15-player training camp roster, the Sun waived rookie Shayla Cooper.
Signed to a free agent contract on February 22nd, Adams arrived in Connecticut after helping Maccabi Ramat Gan reach the Israeli League championship series, averaging 19.3 points and eight rebounds per game during the season.
The 20th overall pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft, Adams played five seasons for the San Antonio Stars, averaging 11.4 points and 4.3 rebounds over 155 games. She had 1,771 points and 659 rebounds and 176 made three-pointers in five seasons in San Antonio. She was waived by the Stars before the 2016 season.
