Intern In Professional Sports!

The Connecticut Sun and New England Black Wolves are seeking outgoing, enthusiastic individuals to serve as interns in a variety of disciplines. All qualified candidates must be able to work all games (which may include day, night, weekend and holiday games). Applicants would be receiving college credit in these positions. If not, they will be paid minimum wage. There are opportunities in:

Marketing and Promotions: Ideal candidates for this position will serve as ambassadors for the Sun at home games for as well as outside events and will also be key pieces of executing all contesting and promotions at home games. They will interact with current and potential fans, providing information collateral and ticketing options.

Public and Community Relations: Ideal candidates for this position will assist with compiling statistical packets, handling credential requests and supplying content for the website and social media channels. They will also organize and track donation requests as well as assisting in the planning of and accompanying players and staff to community appearances.

Video and Graphic Design: Ideal candidates for this position will be a digital content creator, including highlights, features and other content for in-game elements and social media channels. They will assist in the design of team collateral materials as well as web and social graphics. On-camera opportunities are also available.

Sales and Service: Ideal candidates for this position will generate leads for all ticket packages through research and cold calls, providing potential fans with informational collateral. They will provide customer service to fans on game days and at events.

Video Coordinator: Ideal candidates for this position with the Connecticut Sun will work with the video coordinator to download, cut and distribute game film from the WNBA video database. They will utilize Sports Code, Synergy, Just Play and Fast Draw to break down game film, create edits and assist the coaching staff in the creation and distribution of scouting reports and playbooks.

Preferred qualifications for all applicants include: Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, detail-oriented and able to multitask, track record of providing superb customer service, hold or working toward a degree in a related field, knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
